Free donuts! (With purchase.)
Krispy Kreme lovers can stop by for a gratis glazed, any time between now and Oct. 14 — but there’s a slight catch.
To snag the sweet treat, you’ll need to show a McDonald’s receipt dated between Oct. 10 and 14.
The deep-fried promotion is being rolled out to celebrate the baker’s new partnership with the Golden Arches, which will see Krispy Kreme doughnuts sold at all 13,500-plus McD’s locations by the end of 2026.
Chicago, home of the Hamburglar, has reportedly been tipped as the first market to get the expanded offering.
“The top request we receive from consumers is for more access to our delicious, fresh doughnuts. Having Krispy Kreme doughnuts under the Golden Arches is golden for our fans and we’re excited to celebrate by giving our guests who also visit a McDonald’s a free Original Glazed doughnut,” Josh Charlesworth, Krispy Kreme President and CEO said in an announcement.
Eventually, all U.S. McDonald’s customers will be offered the original glazed, chocolate iced with sprinkles and chocolate iced cream-filled doughnuts, either individually or in packs of six, a Krispy Kreme spokesperson previously confirmed to The Post.
The length of the ramping up period is reportedly due to the amount of production capacity Krispy Kreme will need in order to meet the demand of so many McDonald’s stores.
The North Carolina-based chain only has between 300-400 of its own shops. It has thousands more of what it refers to as “points of access,” such as supermarkets and convenience stores.
NYC’s Times Square is home to the largest store in the chain.
The fried snack maker was the victim of a somewhat hilarious heist last year, when a sticky-fingered bandit in Australia stole a delivery van with some 10,000 donuts in the back.
The vehicle was found abandoned, days later.
